The scouting journey and Troop 595…..

Scouting builds character, social skills, mental and physical health throughout life. This is accomplished by teaching youth numerous skills that they learn earning merit badges. There are 138 merit badges to chose from. Scouts who accomplish requirements including volunteering, teaching other scouts, participating in camping and hiking, exhibiting moral behavior and completing badges move up in rank. The rank of Eagle is the highest rank of scouting and a nationally recognized honor. The Eagle project is the final step in the scouting journey where scouts demonstrate leadership by completing a project that benefits the community.
